This article analyzes the development prospects of small business and private
entrepreneurship in the context of the digital economy. Theoretical foundations of the digital
economy, its advantages, and the role of small business in this process are widely discussed. The
reforms carried out within the framework of the “Digital Uzbekistan – 2030” strategy, the rapid
growth of e-commerce and fintech services, as well as the integration of startups into the economic
system are examined. At the same time, pressing issues such as insufficient digital infrastructure,
low level of digital literacy, and cybersecurity challenges are highlighted. The article scientifically
substantiates the factors ensuring the competitiveness of small business in the digital economy,
the importance of the innovation ecosystem, and the prospects for increasing export potential.
