This article examines the experience of using artificial intelligence (AI)
technologies in small businesses in developed countries and the possibilities of adapting these
practices to Uzbekistan. The study highlights five models based on the experiences of Singapore,
Canada, Germany, Israel, and India — institutional, financial, industrial, startup-driven, and
affordable technology approaches. It also systematizes the main challenges of introducing AI into
Uzbekistan’s small businesses, including technical infrastructure, lack of skilled personnel,
financial constraints, and adaptation to local needs. The findings suggest that gradual localization
of international practices and the development of an AI ecosystem through cooperation between
the state, the IT sector, and businesses are crucial for enhancing the competitiveness of small
enterprises.
