Abstract

This article analyzes the main directions, advantages and existing problems of
improving digital transformation processes in the construction sector. Digital transformation
provides an opportunity to increase efficiency, reduce costs and time by introducing modern
information and communication technologies into construction projects, management and
monitoring processes. Based on the opinions of local scientists and practitioners, examples of
the application of technologies such as BIM (Building Information Modeling), IoT (Internet of
Things), artificial intelligence and data analytics in construction companies are given. Also, the
problems that arise in implementing digital transformation - infrastructure, personnel training,
weak regulatory and legal framework - and ways to overcome them are discussed. At the end of
the article, the digital future of the construction sector and proposals are presented.
