The article analyzes the role of ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance)
principles in regional economic policy and their significance as a new paradigm of sustainable
development. The interrelation of environmental, social, and governance criteria in regional
development is examined, and international experience is compared with national practice.
Special attention is given to the prospects of implementing programs in Uzbekistan based on the
concept of the green economy and ESG standards. The findings demonstrate that ESG principles
serve as a key driver of regional sustainability and business transformation.
