This article analyzes the impact of the organization of waste processing processes
at industrial enterprises based on the principles of ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) on
sustainable development. Due to the growth of global production volumes, the amount of waste is
increasing sharply. Therefore, ensuring environmental safety, rational use of resources, and
supporting the sustainable development of territories are becoming important. The article
explores the approaches of the circular economy to the processing of industrial waste, the
introduction of green technologies, the mechanisms for evaluating the activities of enterprises
based on ESG standards, as well as international experience. The economic and social effects of
transforming waste into energy sources and secondary raw materials are also highlighted. The
results of the study show that improving the waste management system at industrial enterprises
contributes to achieving the goals of sustainable development as an important driver for the
application of ESG principles.
