This article analyzes the forms of social assistance provided to the population and
their impact on regional development based on statistical data. It also examines issues of
improving the social protection system, strengthening the activities of mahalla and civil society
institutions. The programs implemented within the framework of social policy in the Republic of
Uzbekistan, state decisions and strategic directions aimed at sustainable regional development
are analyzed, while existing problems and practical proposals for their solution are presented.
The results of the study show that strengthening socio-institutional mechanisms is an important
factor in increasing the effectiveness of state policy in the regions.
