This article examines some current trends in Egypt’s economic development.
Egypt’s economic growth rates currently outpace many countries in Europe and Asia, which
contributes to strengthening the country's economic potential and developing foreign economic
cooperation. Therefore, the economic reform strategy places primary emphasis on the
development of industries such as metallurgy, textiles, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, leather and
footwear, and the military-industrial complex. High population growth rates are also noted,
complicating the solution of socioeconomic problems.
