SHADOW ECONOMY EXPOSED: THE HIDDEN FORCES SHAPING ECONOMY

This article presents a comprehensive theoretical analysis of the shadow economy,
including its size, causes, and impacts on global and national economies. By reviewing
international literature and descriptive statistics, the study compares key methods for combating
the shadow economy, such as regulatory reforms, tax policy adjustments, and international
cooperation. The article proposes an integrative approach tailored for Uzbekistan’s economic and
institutional context to enhance transparency, improve tax collection, and promote sustainable
development.
