In the current era of climate change and global environmental challenges, the
integration of sustainability principles into the latest industrial revolution, Industry 5.0, is
becoming increasingly important. This industrial revolution requires a shift from an industrial
approach focused on efficiency and automation to a paradigm that prioritizes collaboration
between humans and machines, innovation, and harmony with the environment. This article
explores the dynamic intersection between Industry 5.0 and sustainability, and explores how this
development is aimed at combining human creativity and experience with advanced technological
capabilities. Industry 5.0 is a new paradigm of technological progress and industrial production,
which aims to combine the main principles of Industry 4.0 - robotization, the Internet of Things
(IoT), and artificial intelligence (AI) - with human and social values. The purpose of this article is
to analyze the essence of “industry 5.0”, its differences from “industry 4.0”, its economic, social
and environmental advantages, as well as the main problems in its implementation and future
prospects.
