Abstract

In the context of rapid urbanization and the growing volume of household waste,
the efficient management of municipal solid waste (MSW) in residential areas has become
increasingly critical. One of the most promising solutions to this issue is the deployment of robotic
waste collection systems. This paper examines current technologies and innovative approaches to
the use of autonomous waste-collecting robots in both urban and rural environments. The study
analyzes their design features, software architecture, navigation algorithms, and interaction with
the surrounding environment. Special attention is given to energy efficiency, environmental safety,
and integration with the city's smart infrastructure.
