The article analyzes the main possibilities and risks of the digital transformation
process in the banking and financial system. It was noted that the widespread introduction of
digital technologies will improve the quality of financial services, reduce operating costs,
accelerate customer service processes, and expand digital financial services. At the same time,
cybersecurity problems, insufficient development of technological infrastructure, delayed
adaptation of the regulatory framework, and issues of human resource readiness are indicated as
risks of digital transformation. According to the research results, for the successful
implementation of digital transformation in the banking and financial sector, it is necessary to
implement a comprehensive approach, ensure security, improve the digital competencies of
employees, and strengthen cooperation between the public and private sectors.
