The thesis examines the issues of improving the methodology of completing audits
in accordance with international audit standards. The study analyzed the nature, purpose and
importance of financial statement audit. The methodology for the preparation and auditing of
financial statements, financial results and cash flows based on MFRS 1 is specified in detail.
Forms of financial statements of energy sector enterprises were analyzed on the example of JSC
"Heating Electric Stations". The thesis examines the classification of assets and liabilities, the
methods of grouping expenses, and the procedure for calculating cash flows through direct and
indirect methods.
