Abstract

This article examines the pressing issue of improving economic mechanisms for
supporting the Green Economy in the regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan. An analysis of
existing government support instruments is conducted, identifying key limitations to their
effectiveness, including fragmented funding, insufficient tax differentiation, and a poorly
developed institutional infrastructure. Using a systems approach, we propose ways to reform
financial and tax mechanisms, strengthen coordination, and improve environmental awareness.
The paper emphasizes the need to consider regional specifics when developing economic
instruments, which will ensure sustainable development and increase the competitiveness of
regional economies in the face of global environmental challenges. The results of the study can be
used in the development of regional Green Economy strategies and national sustainable
