This article examines the theoretical and methodological foundations of sports sector financing, modern financing models, and their specific characteristics. It presents a comparative study of American and European models of sports financing - as well as the experiences of the USA, the UK, Spain, Australia, and Japan - and highlights priority areas for public and private sector involvement. The research employs methods such as scientific reasoning, comparative and statistical analysis, financial analysis, grouping, and expert assessment. The study analyzes the dynamics of financing the sports sector in Uzbekistan through the state budget and substantiates the need for the efficient and targeted use of allocated financial resources, increased budget transparency, and strengthened financial oversight.
