This article analyzes the characteristics, composition and importance of medical
image databases in the development of artificial intelligence algorithms. A comparative analysis
of such widely used databases in the field of medical image processing as NIH ChestX-ray14,
LUNA16, BraTS, DRIVE, BUSI is presented. As a result of the research, the importance of these
databases in the development of recognition algorithms and early detection of diseases is
presented.
