The most active participants in the digital education system are educators and
learners, future specialists. Therefore, it is extremely important for them to have a high level of
professional competence. Based on the theoretical information collected on this issue, this article
reflects opinions on the need for students to have professional competence and its importance
during their professional activities, the content and essence of important aspects in their activities.
